The Evans EC2 SST Clear pack loads your 10″, 12″, and 16″ toms with two-ply, 7mil clear film heads engineered for hard-hitting styles. Each head uses Sound Shaping Technology (SST), which applies size-specific dampening so every drum in the kit responds with a controlled, balanced tone rather than an overly ringy or muddy attack.
Because the plies are tuned per head size, you get consistent feel and projection across the whole set, along with the extra durability that comes from doubling up 7mil film for total 14mil thickness. That added mass also helps the heads hold up to aggressive playing over long sets.
Evans Level 360 Technology rounds out the design with a collar that seats flush against the drum shell. This means better contact at the bearing edge, which translates to easier tuning, a wider usable pitch range, and more reliable sound quality once the heads settle in.
