Evans’ Sound Shaping Technology (SST) is dialed in specifically for this head size, meaning the tuning and tone characteristics are optimized rather than scaled up or down from a different diameter. Pair that with the brand’s Level 360 Technology collar design, which improves how the head seats against the drum shell for consistent contact and a more stable tuning range across the head.
