ProMark built the Rebound 7A Long for drummers who like the familiar feel of a 7A but want a little extra length to work with. It keeps the same .535″ (13.6mm) diameter and taper you’d find on the standard 7A, so your grip and stick control stay consistent — the only change is a half-inch bump in overall length, bringing it to 16 1/2″ (419.1mm).
That added reach can come in handy for players who set up their kit with more distance between hands and drumheads or cymbals, or for anyone who simply prefers a slightly longer stick without altering the diameter or taper they’re used to.
Topped with an acorn-shaped wood tip, this stick delivers a rounded, full tone on both drums and cymbals. The acorn shape offers a broader contact surface than a standard round tip, which can translate into a slightly warmer, fuller sound on cymbal work.
Made from genuine hickory, the Rebound 7A Long benefits from that wood’s natural blend of strength and shock absorption — hickory flexes just enough to soften the impact transmitted back to your hands, which helps reduce fatigue over long playing sessions.
