Built by David Gage, the name upright bassists trust for acoustic amplification, the Realist LifeLine carries on the tradition of rugged, self-powered piezo pickups that just work. It shares the same made-in-USA construction as the well-known Realist Copperhead, but with its own tonal personality.
Where the LifeLine stands out is in its low end: focused and punchy rather than boomy, so you get real stage presence without the sound turning to mud when you push the volume. Bassists who need to be heard clearly in loud band mixes will notice the difference immediately, and feedback stays under control even at high gain.

Installation is refreshingly simple. The LifeLine mounts right at the bridge adjuster wheels with no glue and no hardware, which means:
- It fits most bridges without any modification
- You can remove it just as easily as you put it on
- Nothing is left behind to affect the bridge or instrument
Once in place, the pickup’s minimal footprint keeps the bridge looking as it should, so your bass retains its natural look while gaining a dependable, high-fidelity amplified voice.
