Description
The Sony MDR-7506 has earned its place as a staple in studios, on film sets, and in live sound rigs for good reason. Its closed, circumaural ear cups seal out ambient noise while containing the sound inside — critical for overdub sessions where headphone bleed can ruin a take. Despite the low impedance, these headphones deliver enough volume to work well with modest headphone outputs found on MIDI controllers, camcorders, and other gear that doesn’t pack a lot of amplification power.
Inside each ear cup, 40mm drivers paired with neodymium magnets produce tight bass, low distortion, and a wide dynamic range, all while keeping the housing compact. The headphones fold flat for easy transport, so they travel well between the studio and remote recording setups. The OFC cable terminates in a gold-plated Unimatch plug, giving you both 1/8″ mini-jack and 1/4″ TRS connectivity without needing a separate adapter.
