Description
The Countryman ISOMAX 2 is a miniature condenser microphone engineered for musicians and audio pros who need a mic that behaves the same way at every frequency. This cardioid version holds its pickup pattern steady across the spectrum, so it doesn’t drift toward omnidirectional pickup at low frequencies like many rival capsules do. The payoff is tighter control over unwanted bleed and stronger gain before feedback, even in loud stage environments.
Its size and low-distortion design let it work in tight or high-SPL spots—inside instrument bodies, taped to a stage, tucked into a set for film, TV, or theater—while still delivering an open, full frequency response that sounds true to the source.
- Cardioid polar pattern with frequency-independent directionality
- Directional frequency response: 50 Hz to 20 kHz
- Sensitivity: -57 dB re 1V/Pa (1.4 mV/Pascal)
- Equivalent acoustic noise (directional): 29 dBA
- Overload sound level: 150 dB SPL at 1kHz, 1% THD
- Phantom power: 6V to 50V at 4mA (below 24V reduces overload SPL)
- Output impedance: 600 Ohms +/- 2%, balanced, transformerless
- Capsule dimensions: 5/16″ x 5/8″ x 5/32″ (8mm x 16mm x 4mm), excluding strain relief
This M2CP6FF10 configuration comes hardwired with a 10-foot cable terminating in an XLR3 male connector, plus the basic clip, windscreen, and carrying case that ship with every ISOMAX 2.
