This is a used floor demo unit of the DW 5000 Series AD4 single bass drum pedal, DW’s long-running standard that helped define the modern kick pedal. It runs on an aluminum hex shaft paired with a dual-chain sprocket, producing that familiar 5000 action drummers know well, and its all-metal build is designed to hold up to years of regular use.

DW reworked several key parts of this pedal to sharpen its performance. The biggest change is the Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp: three independently rotating rubber pads grip the bass drum’s counter hoop from both top and bottom, adapting to nearly any hoop thickness or diameter without slipping. A textured rubber grip pad on the base plate adds extra hold against the drum, keeping the pedal locked in place while you play.

Feel-wise, the 5000 gets a Dual Bearing Spring Rocker for a quicker, more responsive stroke – a refinement aimed at drummers who want more precision without sacrificing the familiar 5000 feel.
