DW took its already-respected 5000 pedal design and refined the details that drummers actually feel under their feet. The headline change is the Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp: three independently rotating rubber pads grip the bass drum counter hoop from both top and bottom, adapting to nearly any hoop thickness or diameter without slipping. A textured rubber pad on the base plate adds another layer of hold, keeping the whole pedal locked to the drum during aggressive playing.
Speed and feel got attention too. A Dual-Bearing Spring Rocker was added to sharpen response and smooth out the stroke, building on DW’s patented Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge that already made these pedals feel effortless. The Single Post Casting keeps the footprint compact while the Universal Assembly, complete with a memory lock, lets you dial in and retain your preferred setup session after session.
This particular unit is a used demo, so it’s been played but is fully functional and ready to drum on – a practical way to get DW’s flagship double pedal engineering at a lower price point. It comes with a carry case for transport between gigs and rehearsals.
