Description
The DWCP5700 is DW’s 5000 Series take on a cymbal/boom stand that’s meant to survive load-in after load-in without loosening up or rattling apart. It shares its no-nonsense construction with the straight 5710 model, but adds a 1/2″ boom arm for angled cymbal placement.
- 1/2″ boom arm
- 3/4″ upper tube
- 1″ middle tube
- 1 1/8″ base tube
- Full-size, double-braced 1 1/8″ tripod base for a stable, heavy-duty footprint
Height and cymbal angle are handled by the patented Adjustable Cymbal Seat, which raises or lowers and locks into place so you can fine-tune how much a cymbal can move during play. Tilt adjustment comes courtesy of the Toothless Tilter with TechLock, giving you infinite positioning rather than fixed notches, along with a quick and secure lock once you’ve found the angle you want.
Inside the heavy-gauge tubing, plastic tube insulators keep the sections from rattling against each other. That’s a small detail until you’re tracking with mics placed close to the stand, at which point it becomes essential — no metal-on-metal buzz creeping into your takes.
Built for drummers who need gear that holds its setting through a full set, a full session, or a full tour, the DWCP5700 pairs boom flexibility with the rock-solid base DW stands are known for.
