DW took its already trusted 5000-series pedal and dialed in the details drummers actually feel during a session. The Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp uses three independently rotating rubber pads that grip the bass drum hoop from top and bottom, virtually eliminating slippage regardless of hoop thickness or diameter. A textured rubber base plate pad adds another layer of hold, keeping the pedal locked to the drum through aggressive playing. Inside, a Dual-Bearing Spring Rocker smooths out the stroke, making the action quicker and more consistent than earlier 5000 models. The pedal also includes DW’s patented Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge, single post casting, universal memory-lock assembly, a non-skid rubber grip floorboard, and a nylon carry case for transport.
The included DW 5500TD hi-hat stand is built on double-braced, heavy-duty tubing for a stable two-leg base. It offers lateral cymbal seat adjustment, swiveling legs, a locking clutch, and integrated memory locks so you can return to your exact setup every time. DW’s patented Folding Spring-release Footboard releases all spring tension and folds flat for compact, reliable transport. Playing height ranges from 28″ to 42″, and the stand weighs 11.7 lbs.
