The 14:1 gear ratio offers fine control, letting you dial in pitch precisely without overshooting.
Because the worm and gear are precision-cut for tight meshing, backlash and slippage are virtually eliminated — a common complaint with lower-quality tuners. A countersunk tension screw is built into each unit so you can adjust turning tension to match your personal feel, whether you like loose, fast tuning or something firmer and more resistant.
Inside, the gear box is packed with a special lubricant intended to last the life of the tuner, so there’s no need for regular maintenance or re-greasing.
