Description
Grover brings its proven Sta-Tite guitar tuning machine engineering down to ukulele scale with the 9 Series geared pegs. Instead of relying on friction alone, these tuners use a one-piece back plate, brass gear, die-cast button, and knurled bushings borrowed directly from the full-size Sta-Tite guitar machine head – giving your ukulele the same dependable hold and smooth feel.
To fit ukulele headstocks properly, the string post has been shortened to 1 inch, with the string hole positioned .630″ from the base’s back edge. A 14:1 gear ratio means small turns of the button translate into fine, controlled pitch changes, making it easier to land exactly on pitch instead of overshooting.
- Nickel finish with white buttons
- 14:1 gear ratio for precise tuning
- 1-inch string post length
- String hole .630″ from base back
- Bushings and wood screws included
- Sold as a set of 4 (model 9NW)
Whether you’re upgrading a friction-peg ukulele or building one from scratch, these geared pegs make tuning faster and more stable, so your instrument stays in tune longer between sessions.
