Vic Firth teamed up with Carter Beauford, longtime drummer for Dave Matthews Band, to build a stick that matches his fluid, dynamic style. The SBEA2 starts with a 5B shaft but stretches the taper out longer than standard, giving players a lighter feel in hand without sacrificing power when it counts. That extended taper also boosts stick response and rebound, so quick passages and ghost notes come through clean.
Capping off the design is an elongated oval wood tip, shaped to widen your tonal palette across cymbals, snare, and toms alike. Hickory construction keeps the sticks durable while maintaining a warm, natural feel, and the unfinished natural coating gives a secure, comfortable grip through long sets.
