Designed with Steve Gadd, these retractable wire brushes tackle a common frustration for brush players: wires catching on coated drumheads. Vic Firth angled the wires along the top 3/4″ of the playing end, letting them sweep across the head smoothly rather than snag, so you get a consistent, silky swish sound every time.
This set includes two different brushes, one for each hand, built for distinct playing roles:
- Sweep brush – medium gauge wire for broad, expressive strokes
- Ride brush – heavy gauge wire with a tighter spread for a focused ride pattern
